There is a sculpture by Mirkovic in the Djardin Park in Sinj. It is a monument to the anti-fascist fighters of the Second World War that shows a partisan women who holds a wounded partisan in her arms. The sculpture resembles Pieta motive. During the nineties, nationalists have tried to destroy the sculpture with a bomb and damaged it severely. During the explosion, parts of the sculpture were cut off and many holes are made in the sculpture’s body. On a the Day of Anti-Fascism, on July 22, 2000 I cleaned the garbage from the bottom of the sculpture and the holes and destroyed parts with the liquid for cleaning wounds. At the end I have bandaged the entire sculpture.
